Yang Dongsheng's South America Trip: Deepening Localization Cooperation and Building a Globalization Path with Long-Term Persistence

Recently, Yang Dongsheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery, led a delegation to South America to conduct a series of high-level dialogues and market research, covering Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Peru. Xia Yongyong, Vice President of XCMG Group and General Manager of the Automotive Business Unit, and Liu Jiansen, Vice President of XCMG Machinery, accompanied the delegation.

During the visit, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva warmly received Yang Dongsheng and his delegation. Yang Dongsheng also held in-depth exchanges with Zhu Qingqiao, Chinese Ambassador to Brazil; Niu Qingbao, Chinese Ambassador to Chile; Wang Xiaoxu, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina; and Song Yang, Chinese Ambassador to Peru, reaching consensus on issues such as serving the country's overall diplomacy, supporting the cooperative development of Chinese-funded enterprises, and enhancing the international influence of Chinese brands.

President Lula expressed his appreciation for XCMG's commitment to localized operations and long-term strategy. He stated that Brazil welcomes Chinese companies, including XCMG, to participate in local infrastructure construction, digital economy development, and green transformation, and hopes that both sides will work together to promote sustainable development and share development opportunities.

The embassy highly praised XCMG's long-term development achievements in South America, fully affirmed XCMG's role as a bridge in promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges, and unanimously expressed its continued support for outstanding Chinese enterprises like XCMG to become stronger and better, and to work together to promote the deep integration of China's industrial chain, supply chain and value chain with South American countries, injecting strong impetus into building a closer community with a shared future.

The research team conducted in-depth investigations in the Brazilian, Chilean, Argentine, and Peruvian markets, gaining precise insights into local needs and operational conditions, laying a solid foundation for further regional cooperation and strategic planning.

In Brazil, the team explored new paths to promote the deep integration of the Sino-Brazilian industrial chain, focusing on intelligent, green, and digital transformation. In Chile, the team investigated localized operations, emphasizing the use of high-end equipment and comprehensive services to support the construction of zero-carbon smart mines. In Argentina, through strategic agreements and joint educational programs, the team promoted local green transformation by using new energy sanitation equipment as a breakthrough point, and fostered local talent cultivation through innovative industry-academia-research integration models. In Peru, the team focused on exploring XCMG's development potential in the local mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors, actively integrating into local social development.

This trip resulted in several strategically significant collaborations in Chile, Argentina, and Peru.

In Chile, XCMG's Chile Service Center officially opened, integrating spare parts, service, training, and exhibition. This marks an upgrade in the level of its localized service network. The event was attended by numerous guests, and strategic signings and equipment deliveries witnessed solid steps towards win-win cooperation.

In Argentina, a new chapter of university-enterprise cooperation has begun, with XCMG solutions driving the localization of talent cultivation and gradually realizing the leap from "technology transfer" to "skills development."

Meanwhile, XCMG's Peru Service Spare Parts Remanufacturing Center opened in the capital, Lima. The establishment of this new operational hub on the west coast of South America will greatly enhance the region's comprehensive service support capabilities, and has been highly praised by Peruvian political and business circles.
