Innovating the "manufacturer cooperation going global" model, SDLG sets sail with the first batch of 300 devices to set sail in Africa
The giant ship sets sail, writing a new chapter in overseas development. On July 24, 2025, the "SDLG Departure 300 Equipment ShipPing Ceremony" was grandly held at the SDLG Excavator Division. Under the joint witness of leaders and guests such as Wen Degang, General Manager of SDLG, Song Xiaoying, Executive Vice General Manager, Wang Xiaohui, Deputy General Manager of the company and General Manager of the International Marketing Company, Lin Yuecun, Deputy General Manager of the company, Wang Jiangang, Chairman of SDLG Sail, as well as domestic and foreign partners, SDLG has delivered the first batch of 300 equipment to SDLG Sail Africa and is ready to set sail to African countries such as Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe. This marks a milestone step for SDLG's deep cultivation of the African market, and the innovative "manufacturer cooperation going global" strategy has entered the stage of large-scale implementation.
Facing the African construction machinery blue ocean market with an average annual growth rate of over 10%, SDLG has precisely seized the historic opportunity. The huge infrastructure demand, mineral development wave, and equipment renewal demand generated by the nearly 1.4 billion population on the African continent have provided a vast space for construction machinery enterprises. Relying on the strong support of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the action plan of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, SDLG accelerated its internationalization strategy. Not long ago (July 13th local time), the SDLG East Africa Center officially opened in Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania, laying a solid foundation for localized services for this large-scale equipment shipment.
The first batch of equipment shipped this time includes excavators, loaders, rollers, and graders, with a product portfolio that deeply meets the needs of cross-border road networks, railway networks, port clusters, and mining development in Africa. This batch of equipment will directly serve key projects such as Kenya's "Africa Infrastructure Development Plan", injecting strong "Made in China" momentum into local construction.
At the shipping ceremony, Song Xiaoying, Executive Vice General Manager of SDLG, emphasized the company's Africa strategy and innovative cooperation model in her speech: "Africa is an indispensable and highly potential important component of SDLG's global strategic map. The successful shipment of 300 devices, especially relying on SDLG's innovative 'manufacturer cooperation going global' platform, is a key step for us to deepen our layout in Africa. The establishment of SDLG's East Africa Center is an important practice of this innovative channel development model, a key pivot for our localized operation, and a bridgehead for practicing the concept of 'customer first, quality first'. We believe that with the strong collaboration and sincere cooperation between SDLG and its partners, we will be able to continuously provide high-quality products and satisfactory full lifecycle solutions for African customers
SDLG's Chairman Wang Jiangang deeply interpreted the connotation of the "manufacturer cooperation going global" model and the localization layout in Africa: "The essence of 'manufacturer cooperation going global' is the deep aggregation and collaboration of advantages. Based on SDLG's strong product strength, technology research and development, and industrial chain support, combined with the localization resources, market insights, and service capabilities of partners, Lingong Qihang has successfully built an efficient operation system of 'front-end warehouse shortening delivery cycle, local team providing personalized services'. The establishment of the East Africa Center marks the substantial landing of this model in Africa. The successful launch of 300 devices this time is a powerful validation of the feasibility of the model. In the future, we will accelerate our network coverage in the African market, deepen the construction of local service teams, and build SDLG into a regional center that integrates operation, service, and innovation, ensuring that customers enjoy timely, professional, and reliable support
At 9:20, under the powerful command of "departure!", the SDLG equipment convoy dressed in red silk sounded their horns and set off. At this moment, it not only marks the smooth delivery of SDLG's first batch of large-scale orders to the African market, but also symbolizes its innovative "manufacturer cooperation going global" model and the substantial breakthrough of its "overseas localization service system" on the African continent.
